The Message of Our Lady of Fátima
In 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared six times to three young shepherd children — Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta — near the town of Fátima in central Portugal. Our Lady called the world to prayer, penance, and devotion to her Immaculate Heart.
The apparitions culminated in the Miracle of the Sun on October 13, 1917, witnessed by an estimated 70,000 people. This extraordinary event confirmed the authenticity of the children's testimony and the urgency of Our Lady's message.
Our Lady of Fátima emphasized the importance of the daily Rosary, offering sacrifices for the conversion of sinners, and consecration to her Immaculate Heart. Today, the Sanctuary of Fátima remains one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the Catholic world, drawing millions of faithful each year.
